With the Dulse between the two savory "fats" of Avocado and Cheese, the
Dulse melts into both and adds a satisfying, chewy, salty treat. This spin on an all time kid favorite will make them clamor for more!

Ingredients
8 Flour or Corn Tortillas
2-4 T Butter
1 Large or 2 Small Avocados
1 ½ Cups Shredded Sharp Cheddar

1 Cup Regular

Or Smoked Dulse
Directions
Place 4 Tortillas on a cutting board
Spread ¼ Avocado on each Tortilla
Warm an electric griddle or skillet to medium heat and add 1-2 T Butter to melt
Place 4 Tortillas on the griddle or work in batches if using a skillet
Spread a generous ¼ Cup of shredded Cheese on each Tortilla
Top with ¼ Cup Dulse, broken into pieces
Cover with the Avocado-spread Tortillas
Flip when the Cheese gets melty and the Tortilla slightly browned
Continue to cook until the other side is also slightly browned
Transfer to the cutting board, let them cool slightly, then cut into quarters
Serve with your favorite Salsa or other Quesadilla dips
Recipe Note
There's lots of room for customizing here...any cheese you can dream of (Brie, Gruyere, Goat), any wrap (Spinach, Whole Wheat, Sun-dried tomato), jazz it up with jalapenos, or add your preferred meat or meatless option. They can make a quick snack or be served as a whole meal; perfect for any sized appetite!
