A nutritious and tasty way to enhance your diet.

Alaria is a very tasty sea veggie! It is quite fibrous, so cooking it is a good idea. It has a lot of flavor, and a little goes a long way. I usually cut it into small (approximately 1 inch) square pieces. I add it to my legumes or grains as soon as I finish cooking, and they are still vary warm. I cover and allow the residual heat to soften the Alaria.

Appreciate how clean rhe priduct is.

Eve, thank you for writing a nice review. So glad you appreciated the alaria and found it to be clean.
Due to it being a wild harvested and hand processed product, we do suggest customers check for occasional shells and pebbles may be hidden in the folds of the seaweed.
    Be well!

    Like wakame but more flavorful

I have been making soups with the Korean variant of wakame. When I make the same soup with alaria from Maine Coast they seem to come out more flavorful. I suspect that the careful minimal processing that Maine Coast uses makes a difference.

If you like wakame I highly recommend you check out this alaria.

Thank you for the high praise, Charles! We agree, North Atlantic Wakame, aka Alaria esculenta, is hearty and flavorful. It is air dried as soon as it is harvested to preserve its rich mineral content. We're so happy you appreciate it!
