Our kelp blends are made from a combination of North Atlantic kelp species. The term kelp is commonly used to refer to a number of brown sea vegetables known to be particularly rich in iodine, fucoidan, and other bio-active substances.
Our Icelandic Kelp Blend (IKB) powder contains three kelp species: Laminaria hyperborea, Ascophyllum nodosum, and Laminaria digitata. It is formulated especially for those seeking to add a specific amount of iodine to their diet and it's our only product with a lab certified iodine analysis: 3,000-3,500 mcg iodine per 1 gram serving.
Our Kelp Granules Blend (Alaria esculenta and Ascophyllum nodosum) is a great low sodium salt substitute and flavor enhancer. Use this bulk option of our Sea Seasoning Kelp Blend to refill your table or countertop shakers.
